                                A guide for chartered accountant

Hello everyone, I am CA, CS and CMA praveen pandey and I am a financial consultant by profession I am working for big fours for the past 12 years. one special thing about dreams is that dreams evolve over time. they may change it could be due to conditions around, it could be due to the situations, it could be due to the environment: in fact, sometime you yourself change your dreams foe me, when I was in the 9th standard. I lost my father . My family -me , my brother and my mother were dependent on my grandfather who was a retired businessman with no source of earning .He  survived on his past savings  and then came the turning point of my life. Yes, I had to choose an option between science and commerce in my 10th standard. I knew that under no circumstance. My grandfather could afford the exorbitant expenses for my medical studies. I was shattered I chose commerce Yes, one dream got shattered but not the hope. The fire within me to excel. The Hunger to learn more and grow didn't, In my 11th standard I had a word with my colleagues, my peers, my friends, some relatives, some senior people and all of them suggested me that Parveen pandey If you want to make it big If you really are willing to work hard  go for CA. Now the big question was- whether I was willing to work hard  and was answer was obviously A big yes! A little tip? In life, compromise with anything, absolutely anything but not with your profession. Choose the best for yourself And work hard to make it big  irrespective I chose to pursue CA after my 12th examination and luckily cleared the first two stages in my very first attempt now came the big thing, big day! the big moment-articleships! and again, my inner voice bugged me to not settle for the second best it instigated me to choose the place for articleship for me- the big fours! how, what, when, where? I had no clue I talked to my friends, some peers, some relatives all of them told me, without reference nobody can work with the big four I approached some seniors requesting them to connect, to help they all could do nothing one fine day I decided to help myself I took 20 copies of my CV and went door to door in each of the big 10 firm and dropped in my CV with them everybody took the CV, kept it aside smiled at me and said- we will get back to you I also forwarded my CV to the big fours you can't go there; you have to email them! and luckily, I got calls from 2 big fours if sending a CV was so difficult imagine how tough the interview must be I worked hard because this was the dream, I was chasing, after several rounds of grilling interview sessions I finally bagged two offers from two of the big fours of the country trust me, it was a dream come true let me give you a reality check it's not easy to work in big fours the mounting work pressures and the expectation to clear your CA finals in first attempts take a toll over you it's not easy there are time when you don't know  how and what to priorities, what to do and what not to do it just gets so much pressuring but at the end of the day, its worth it I also categorically remember one incident my CA exams were just 6 to 7 months down the line and I was preparing hard for my CA finals exams and one of the biggest and toughest exams at least according to me-Accounts! I had not taken coaching for the subject which was going to start in the next two days here I got an email from my manager stating that I have been allocated to an outstation audit which meant that for two months I was going to be out of Delhi and would not be able to take coaching for accounts. choice was easy of course, I could defer my attempt for 6 months and become a CA after 6 moths but that meant a loss of 3 lakh rupees! how you defer your attempt by 6 months and become a CA then the starting package for a CA was 6 lakhs, back then so, you clearly lose 3 lakhs if defer your attempt and I am a brahman with baniya bhudhi I simply cannot tolerate loss! I decided to struggle I decided to work hard without coaching I had heard people crack the exam without coaching I decided to catch hold of a friend and that friend helped me out with my entire syllabus and somehow, we finished accounts IDT is a subject in CA finals and when I reached the exam hall I saw the IDT exam and I was speechless I was sure I couldn't have scored more than 20% in my IDT paper. that paper was tough again, choice was easy I could have left it over there. the door was open I could have easily left and come back after 6 months but that instinct in me to never settle down, to never compromise, to work hard and to struggle beyond limits inspired me to stay there I wrote whatever I knew, I thoughts hard and I stayed there, completed and struggle till the last moment of that paper I had heard a lot about clearing CA exams without coaching. Today I saw it myself! so I am CA praveen pandey, working for one of the big 4s I had just started working on the job when that little bug inside me instigated me should I stop at CA? should I settle down at CA or should I do something more? the answer knowing my attitude was of course that I had to do more I decided to pursue CS and CMA, along with working for the big fours my company refused leaves for the examination they said you can take leaves only on the days of the examinations my manager told me it is virtually impossible to clear a professional exam and that too one of the toughest examinations without leaves I heard them but didn't pay heed to their words I struggled I worked hard I used to be exhausted after coming back from work however, studying after work became a routine studying on weekends became a habit and the moment came in my life when I could prefix CA, CS and CMA in front of my name and that was the Aha! moment for me and trust me guys all your effort all your sleepless nights all your hard work  all your sacrifices of not attending birthday parties not attending weddings of relatives not attending movie sessions or Netflix sessions are all worth it and moreover, efforts of your mom of drilling coffee and giving it to you on a late-night efforts of your parents, grandfather in my case, my grandfather used to be awake all night seeing me study all those efforts were actually worth it.
